Butler County, Kansas

Butler County is located in central Kansas. It is named for Andrew Pickens Butler, a United States Senator from South Carolina.
The seat and a largest city are both El Dorado. The Walnut River flows through the county.
Butler County borders Chase, Greenwood, Elk, Cowley, Sumner, Harvey, Sedgwick and Marion Counties.
Main highways through the county include I-35, US-54, US-77, K-96, K-177 and K-196.
